Welcome To Moving Academy of Medicine and Biomedicine, PUNE
Moving Academy of Medicine and Biomedicine (MAMB),established in 2001,
is a non-profit educational and research organization registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860)
and the Bombay Public Trust Act (1950) with charity commissioner of Pune
(Registration no. F-40271 Pune). MAMB is recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO)
by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India. Also donations to MAMB
get tax benefits under 80G. The Academy is also allowed to accept foreign donation/grants under FCRA.
The mandate of the MAMB is to promote education and research through outreach programs
both in medicine and basic sciences.

On-going programs of the academy:
1.Regional hubs for research oriented medical education

The academy is currently working on a Department of Health Research, GOI sponsored program titled “Regional Hubs for Research Oriented Medical Education”. This new program was developed with a view to overcome the short-comings of the previous, highly successful ROME program. This program focuses on providing hands-on experience of laboratory techniques and help set-up regional units for training and boosting research culture among medical fraternity.

Divergent thinking or Creativity is evenly distributed in all societies in the world irrespective to cast and creeds. On that count rural India should be a major source of creative minds that has remained untapped. Due to lack of opportunity and our city-centric policies, it may take decades before modern science and technology reaches to rural India. Meanwhile the Moving Academy of Medicine and Biomedicine, Pune has developed a highly successful module to nurture science talent in the remote sector of India including tribal regions.
